Who we are

This website is run by [Salvatore Partenzi] ("we"), owner of the Verdedamare holiday apartments, Via Vincenzo Bellini [house number], 00042 Lido dei Pini, Anzio (RM), Italy. We are the data controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003).

What data we collect and why

  • Enquiries and booking requests — name, email, phone, dates, number of guests and your message. We use them to answer you and manage your stay (performance of a contract or steps before it, art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Your stay — Italian law requires us to record the identity details of every guest and send them to the State Police (art. 109 of the Consolidated Public Security Act, "Alloggiati Web") and to report anonymous statistics to ISTAT and the Region; tourist tax is accounted to the Comune di Anzio. These are legal obligations (art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Technical data — our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, pages requested, browser) for security and to detect abuse (legitimate interest, art. 6(1)(f)), for a maximum of 30 days. Forms are protected against spam with a hidden field and a simple question; no external anti-spam service is used [unless Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled — then say so].

We do not use your data for marketing and we do not sell it. We do not take automated decisions about you.

Who receives your data

  • Our hosting provider [provider name, country] and our email provider [provider], which process data on our behalf as processors.
  • The State Police, ISTAT/Regione Lazio and the Comune di Anzio, as required by law.
  • If you booked through Airbnb or Booking.com, those platforms handle your data under their own privacy policies as independent controllers.
  • The map on our Location page is loaded from Google Maps only after you click "Show map"; from that moment Google may set cookies and process your IP address under Google's privacy policy.

We do not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area, except where a provider above does so under the safeguards of Chapter V GDPR.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries without a booking: 12 months.
  • Booking requests and stays: 10 years, as required for tax and accounting records; guest registration data as long as the law requires.
  • Server logs: 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Write to [email]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).

Cookies

This site uses only technical cookies that are necessary for it to work: a session cookie when you sign in to the administration area, a security token for forms, a short-lived message cookie and your language choice. None of them tracks you and none requires consent. See the cookie page.
